The original Baroque by Sting Entertainment came out in 1998 for the Sega Saturn and in 1999 for the PS1 It was an absolutely gorgeous, grotesque, surreal, brain-screwing horror action RPG that masterfully concocted Roguelike, dungeon crawler and survival horror elements into a sublime masterpiece that feels like a Shin Megami Tensei fever dream on acid. Sadly, it was never officially translated outside of Japan. (Only the 2008 remake for the Wii and PS2 got that honor) But, a few months ago, thanks to the valiant efforts of the ROM-hacking community, we’ve finally blessed with a masterful English fan-translation. So let’s celebrate the long-overdue Renaissance (pun intended) of a forgotten and neglected horror masterpiece! **Support the Channel** http://patreon.com/RagnarRoxShow Mednafen Multi-System Emulator https://mednafen.github.io/ Duckstation PS1 Emulator https://www.duckstation.org/ Plissken’s Baroque PS1 Fan Translation: https://twitter.com/Plissken___/status/1547601925880745986 The Nerve Tower Website: https://nervetower.neocities.org/ They Speak From The Abyss - Extended Demo: https://thefifthkalpa.itch.io/they-speak-from-the-abyss-extended-demo They Speak From The Abyss - Steam Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2075460/They_Speak_From_The_Abyss/ Developed by Nikki Kalpa https://twitter.com/TheFifthKalpa Published by 2 Left Thumbs https://twitter.com/2_left_thumbs Chapters __ Script: Michael Saba, Ragnar Ulricson Captions (en): Mira Cox, Ragnar Ulricson __ Footage Credits: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Fan Translation Preview (Part 2) | cj iwakura https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rALbDbAW2TQ Squaresoft's Japan-Only Racing JRPG "Racing Lagoon" is Now in English! | Hilltop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UznHtJvb4rs LongplayArchive | Longplay of Metroid: Zero Mission https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WINinwf6_Yc LongplayArchive | Longplay of Baroque https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er4UqmkkDcg Angelic Plasma Rifle 360 rendering by Crompwell Artstation link: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/KO0klG Northernlion Clips: Dead Cells - Northernlion Plays - Episode 4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJUH3ZZwNfU Streets of Rogue: Bram [40/?] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPdMdo7ML0w The Binding of Isaac_ Rebirth - Let's Play - Episode 36 [Coif] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utZKPr4Kn-I Who Gave Zagreus A Railgun_ [Hades_ Episode 2] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JXaFiHz01c Marcokuto | Fushigi No Dungeon Torneko No Daibouken JP ENG patch Real SNES 1CHIP playthrough Part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrRcbyYvBoc
