I came across this hammer idea from a post on Reddit that showed an antique hammer with a square socket as a head and a hammering head attachment. The hammer had "Snap-Off" stamped into the side. You can see it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Tools/comments/1nerr6s/help_identifying_a_hammer_i_have_never_seen_one/ After seeing this abomination, I decided to follow that trend and attempt to fully machine a claw hammer with a socket head out of 4140 steel. That may have been a bad idea and I now understand why we still forge hammers instead of machining them to this day since adding the internal taper for the wood handle consisted of hours of hand filing. Wrenches, screwdrivers, and socket drivers are now for sale at https://www.handtoolrescue.com/ Watch narrated videos and help secure more tools for future videos (if you want): https://www.patreon.com/handtoolrescue
