What’s the scariest thing you’ve done for a cache? Located in West Virginia, GC3JZR9, aptly named “Abandon Hope,” takes geocachers through the tight, pitch-black chambers of a cave in Coopers Rock State Forest. In this video, follow prsully, a Geocaching HQ Lackey, as he navigates his way through the cave to sign the logbook—and find his way back out. Disclaimer: Safety first! Caves can be dangerous—it’s important to let someone know where you’ll be before exploring, do your research on the cave you’re entering, have the proper equipment, and know your way out. Check with the park service before placing a geocache in a state park.
