Biochsock infinite and Oppression
Topics like oppression are hard to tackle in arts and in the real world, a vicious circle that is hard to break.
How do video games portray oppression and why some games are criticized for their portrayal of oppressed characters.
In the video, I defend Bioshock infinite and the last of us and explain why their portrayal of oppressive, oppressed, and flawed characters is very faithful to historical precedents.
Bioshock infinite and the last of us came under heavy criticism precisely because of their portrayal of oppression. I think we misunderstood both these games and maybe misunderstood the oppression itself.
