GDStudio -- A Better Godot?
GDStudio is a custom version of Godot that attempts to improve the editor... and damn does it succeed! This isn't really a traditional fork, in that it focuses only on the editor and should be entirely compatible with existing Godot projects. So what does it improve? Faster asset loading and startup, vastly improved UI, the ability to open multiple scenes at once and more. Honestly once you use GDStudio for a few days, going back to the Godot editor isn't easy. It aint all rainbows and sunshine though as sadly the project is not possible to merge into Godot main branch and isn't currently open source.
