A narrow path follows the green ridge, with the sea on either side and a grey sky stretching out to the horizon. There’s a quiet distance to the scene: the feeling of having stepped away from your usual surroundings and found somewhere to stay for a while.
I shaped this mix around the openness of that landscape. The focus is airy downtempo and chillout, with a gentle pace and room for the melodies to linger. I worked on the sequence and transitions with that atmosphere in mind, letting the mix unfold gradually.
You can imagine sitting on the hillside, following the path with your eyes until it disappears behind the ridge. Cool air, grass moving around you, and water extending far beyond the shore. Somewhere you might stop for a few minutes and find yourself happy to stay longer.
I wanted the music and the view to belong to that same quiet moment. Something to settle into while you read, look out of the window, or enjoy a little time to yourself. You can follow the music closely or let it keep you company as the evening goes on.
