If you need to clear your head, come and sit by the water for a while. I put together this mix of deep downtempo and chillout with the openness of this coastline in mind.
Small waves trace the edge of the dark sand, and the cliffs gradually disappear into the mist. Someone sits on a weathered piece of driftwood, looking out across the shore. There’s something inviting about having that much open space in front of you, with very little asking for your attention.
I wanted the music to carry some of that openness. The atmosphere is deep and introspective, with airy textures and room for the melodies to linger. These are tracks you can spend a little time with, following the details or letting your thoughts wander as the mix unfolds.
Perhaps you’ve just put your phone down, finished something that needed your attention, or found a moment between one thing and the next. You can stay here for a while and watch the water, pick up a book, or simply let the music keep you company.
