When I built this expedition truck, I always knew that the camper was the weak point. The material it is made out of even has the word Glass in it. lol Oddly enough, it is the component that has given me the least amount of issues. When I saw the crack poking out from behind the boxes, I thought it would be much smaller. After removing the rear box, it was obvious we were dealing with a structural issue. At that point, my mind went straight to replacement over repair, but luckily I have some experienced people in my life that can advise better than that. Sasha came over to take a look, and he assured me right away that it was repairable, and actually fairly straight forward. He also was able to identify the rout cause and come up with a plan to fix both issues at once. Beamac in Williams Lake was a great help with the steal and tabs. I brought them a piece of poorly cut out cardboard and a story about camper cracks, and a couple of days later they had all of my piece prepared. Having support like this is a really heart warming reality in my life, and I first felt it during the Rig build. People and companies from across BC came together to execute the build, and to have people contributing in these ways to keep things going is just incredible. Without the extensive support system that DA has, I simply wouldn't be able to pursue remote travel the way that I do. #build #diy #fabrication #expeditiontruck If you have been enjoying this channel, and would like to help support the upcoming projects and videos, please consider taking a look at the Patreon page or the Merchandise line.
