I came to English Harbour East specifically to explore Long Harbour, but what I found instead was a string of abandoned and resettled towns, one after the other. This is not an uncommon thing here in Newfoundland, as resettlement has played a major role in the recent history of the province. What I was not expecting, was a whole day of incredible remote location beach combing.
