What began as a stop during the East Coast Expedition became a deeply personal documentary about immigration, hardship, family, and the lives that helped build the Canadian prairies. Many, if not most of these historical homesteads have been abandoned now, as larger farms take over, leaving hundreds of old farm houses sitting forgotten in the fields of Saskatchewan.
