"SCARY and STRANGE" | Surreal Animated Short Film (2019)

Created by David James Armsby. https://www.facebook.com/davidarmsbyartist/ This animated short film is a direct sequel to my previous animated short film, Merry Madness. A terrible monster haunts a teenage girl. Every day the monster comes closer and closer but she has no intention to stop it. Even though the creature keeps her awake at night, gives her horrible nightmares and will likely tear her apart one day it has been with her for half of her life and is part of who she is. This short film is about depression and the dangers of overly romanticising it. It's somewhat hypocritical of me to make a film with this kind of moral considering my previous work but that'll be covered more in the making-of. I've always wanted to make a surreal horror short film. I love making surrealist/dreamlike artwork and imagery and I had a lot of fun playing around with those elements in this short film. Hope you all enjoy this one! ^_^ Watch the original short film, "MERRY MADNESS" here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPYNWTN2ogk SONG: "Orbital Romance" - Sir Cubworth "Dusk" - Ross Bugden (reversed and altered heavily) Voice actors: "Emily" - Adrienne Cox https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHaVXXowlztJHlQX1SQnSxA "Father" - Cougar MacDowall https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYL0au6V77nHEhVP9kUMwlQ "Mother" - Kirie Quackenbush http://www.dreamstorypodcast.com http://digitalkirie.com MAKING OF: https://youtu.be/qtgqHlMcnrI SUPPORT ME ON PATREON: https://www.patreon.com/davidarmsby
