Overwatch Animated Short | "Bastion"

Created by David James Armsby. A lone Bastion-Robot-Unit, branded "E54", lives out his days in an old cabin in the wilderness. E54 fought through the Omnic Crisis but was heavily damaged during one of the final battles. It lay, dormant for years, seemingly unaware of the passage of time. When it awoke the war was over and its combat programming was all but lost, it instead displayed an intense curiosity about the natural world and its inhabitants. I've liked the idea of creating fan-animations for a while. I've dabbled with making a Mass Effect and Halo one in the past but they never really go anywhere. I came up with the idea, (After watching the amazing Overwatch animated shorts) to create my own. An unoffical origin for Bastion seemed the most obvious way to go. He does not talk and his origin is mostly open in the Overwatch lore. I knew I could create a funny, heartwarming short story about a once war-machine, turned tree-hugger. Even though this is an unofficial backstory, I still tried to have it make sense considering Overwatch's lore, and have it fit in with the little we know of Bastions real origin. Hope you guys like this! It was fun as hell to make. The mix of 2D and 3D animation was fun and new for me. The render-times were also mercifully short, meaning it only took me 17 days (from conception, to completion) to finish his short. That makes it the quickest I've ever done.
