Making of | "Friendly Shadow"

Created by David James Armsby. https://www.facebook.com/davidarmsbyartist/ This is a behind-the-scenes video to accompany my recent animated short film, "Friendly Shadow". This video covers my creative process and my ideas behind the art and themes of the film. This video is the first of three "making of" videos I'll be making covering this film. The other two will be more like my "Creative Process" videos. They will be covering the design, lore, and creative process behind the "Hive" and "Friendly Shadow" characters, respectively. This film was a tremendous undertaking. It's the longest animated film I've ever made and likewise, this is the longest behind-the-scenes video I've ever made too. I had to chop out 50% of the script for this video because it was just getting far too long. This project as so huge and complicated that I could easily talk for hours about it. I feel this particular making-of video is a bit of mess in places but that mirrors the process of making the "Friendly Shadow" quite well so I guess it's appropriate. :P PART 1: (THIS VIDEO) PART 2: https://youtu.be/UY8rCPsJC_Q PART 3: https://youtu.be/z4e7_6yLb2w SONGS: StoneOcean - "The Message", "Last Pianist", "Soulwisp", "Wild Thing", "Rainboots", "Awaken", "Arabian Nights". https://www.youtube.com/user/RatedmusicOfficial Voice Actors: Adrienne Cox - "Hive" Kirie Quackenbush - "Mother" Instagram.com/eeveeweavy YouTube.com/TwistTVShow www.dreamstorypodcast.com Check out Rayshaun Thompson and Cameron Moody of "Controlled Noise"!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbSyoNa15Xk&list=PLEHH5E9HRGLj3lKiSH-SGAUiwd3LZoeXd https://soundcloud.com/musicbyrt/sets/autodale-friendly-shadow "FRIENDLY SHADOW": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0sCsXFAdjY Check out the whole Autodale playlist here!: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZ5VEKOKH8PCjZJYvjlinBtjjmKV_-dk1 PATREON: https://www.patreon.com/davidarmsby
