"God's Leash" | Animated Short Film (2018)

We've become obsessed with perverting nature and overcoming god with technology. The world is comfortable, controlled and safe, so much, in-fact, that Sally dreams of escaping it. She's become numb and longs for a life where she can earn her right to survive. Sally wants to escape to the Havens. This short was a monumental amount of work. It's twice as long as my average short film. I was working on this thing for 4-5 months and I'm glad it's finally done. I'm very mixed on the finished result. I like the story and themes a lot but there're a handful of things I think should have been better explored, in a longer video. Or dropped all-together into a shorter video. Just feels a little awkward to me. I'll probably feel different about it in a few days, after a little break.
