CGI Animated Short Film | 2015 | "In the Rain"

Created by David James Armsby. The story of a woman in an abusive relationship, trying desperately to avoid all of her suffering. But eventually you always have to confront your past. This particular heep of pixels is far more metaphorical/symbolic than my other animations. It's also darker. And prettier. I tried really hard to make an arch of emotions. Starting with numb and somber, moving on to a feeling of purpose and anger and ending with a sigh of relief. No? Just me?... ...whatever. I'm going to be honest: this animation has been finished for about a month now. I seriously started to debate whether to upload it or not. I like it and all but I've never confronted darker themes like domestic abuse (And implied rape) in my works before. Man, this has been depressing! ...But my next animation will be a comedy so everything's okay! =DD Software used: 1. Blender. 2. Sony Vegas. 3. Audacity. 4. Photoshop.
