CGI Animated Movie | PARALLEL: Chapter 1

Created by David Armsby. The year is 2315. Humanity has spread throughout the galaxy. But in our hubris we accidentally create the Apparatus: a legion of self-aware robots that are bent on humanity’s destruction. Alpha is one of their leaders and is currently settled on the resource-rich but highly hostile planet, "Parallel". The SolarCore need to stop him before his army grows. Things do not go as planned while investigating a seemingly mundane problem with a communication outpost and one of their soldiers is captured. Her information on the SolarCore could turn the tides in this battle. If she will talk. Creator’s Note: Hey, David here. I know this is technically my 3rd video but it’s my 1st animation. It’s been done for a while and I started working on it 1st March 2014. That’s 4 days short of a year. It takes SO MUCH time to make something like this. This video is really how I learned to animate. I learned all the basics from rigging, to posing, to texturing, to modelling, to lighting working on this one video. Through a massive amount of trial and error. I’m glad I did it! =DD I’ve learned quite a bit. When I start working on Chapter Two, it won’t take so long as I‘ve learned what does and doesn’t work, and all the models are done and ready. Created using Blender and Sony Vegas Pro 11.
