Cemu 1.16.1 | An INSANE Vulkan Performance Upgrade | 25-50% Faster

Cemu 1.16.1 has released givving us an Insane Performance Upgrade on the Vulkan API. Much of this optimization comes from avoiding unnecessary checks if states were not modified by any PM4 commands since previous drawcall If the above means nothing to you, when asked about it, Exzap (One of Cemus Devs) explained it like this: The basis of this optimization is that Cemu will avoid complex checks if the game didn't touch any of the related parameters. E.g. reuse texture parameters from previous drawcall, if the game didn't change anything related to textures. This allows Cemu to skip 30-40% of the CPU intensive work the renderer does but the required state book-keeping adds overhead so the actual FPS gain is smaller than that Paired with further changes involving accelerating u32 index decoding by using AVX2 (if supported by CPU), this update is going to dramatically improve user experience when using the Vulkan API Cemu 1.16.1 Public Release takes place on Friday January 3rd Complete Cemu Setup Guide https://youtu.be/-WGckcf6yCs ► Become a BSoD Gaming Patron Supporter https://www.patreon.com/BSoDGaming ► BSoD Gaming Discord https://discord.gg/RrKRhhJ ► Buy me a Beer (Channel Donation) https://twitch.streamlabs.com/bsod_gaming_#/ Connect with me on other social sites (Any Troubleshooting is done through Discord) ► TWITTER: http://bit.ly/BSODtwitter ► FACEBOOK: http://bit.ly/BSoDFB ► My PC Specs: AMD system Ryzen 7 3700x at 4.2Ghz 16gb DDR4 3600Mhz RAM AMD RX 580 4gb 512gb NVME M.2 SSD Intel system i7 8700k @5.0Ghz 16gb DDR4 3200Mhz RAM GTX 1080ti 11gb/UHD 630 256gb NVME M.2 SSD #cemu #vulkan #zeldaBOTW
