Ciao amici!
The Godfather Part I and II are holy relics in my family. I was always (still am haha) very salty about my parents being able to see both of them opening night in the theaters in New York. The Godfather Part II is celebrating it's 50 year anniversary next week! Some of those movies just have the sauce. You can watch something that was released 50-60 years ago and it's STILL great?! Common argument as well, which one is better, Part I or Part II?. They're both perfect in my opinion. In Part I, it's Brando, the restaurant whack and of course the end with all the heads of the five families. In Part II, it's the Hyman Roth and Fredo storyline, Michael breaking bad and the rise of young Vito. Also one of the few times that a sequel rivals what most thought was flawless. So the filming is great, the acting is great, the story is great, production is great but carrying just as much weight to this day is the music. Surely one of those melodies that's unbelievably recognizable. Part II music is basically the same as Part I music but because I wanted to do this again for the anniversary, I wanted to tackle it a little differently this time. Hope you dig.
Cent'anni!
