Hi all! Oh, the old MS-DOS days. My first video game experiences were on the PC. I started with the classic point and clicks like Day of the Tentacle, Gabriel Knight, Indy, and Monkey Island. But, when I got to taste Duke Nukem, Doom, Blood, Shadow Warrior etc that was it. Loved the early FPSs and Quake changed the game in a lot of ways. The big thing that I remember was it was one of the first FPSs to use the mouse for the aim which, of course, is how we play today. I'll have to check that out after this to see if I'm semi-accurate on that. Anyway, Quake 1 had only one song SONG, a NIN one. Most of the level tunes were just (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) dark, ominous tones. But Quake 2 did more song-wise and Sonic Mayhem killed it. Heavy as hell. Happy 30 to Quake!
