Buckethead - 'Big Sur Moon' (cover by Eric Calderone)

Hi all! So, throughout the weeks I go through tons of ideas and tunes just to get everything flowing. Normally a nice non-distracted jam session and then a draft of whatever's bouncing around in the noggin. I've been messing around with this tune since I was 16. It was the first Buckethead song I heard, funny enough. My friends and I would make those mix-tape burned CDs (that I miss oh so badly) and trade them with each other to see what we found. Just for the humouring info, I was responsible for introducing my friends to all the 80s stuff (Cacophony, WASP, Laaz Rockit, Vio-lence, Dokken etc) and one of my best friends would share with me the non-metal solo guys (Eric Johnson, Gary Moore, Frank Gambale etc) and on one of those mixes was, you guessed it, Big Sur Moon. Since I had no idea what I was doing at the time, I played it all alternate picking lol. Never was a huge effect player (even now). I prefer amp - chord - guitar with a pinch of delay for leads. But, this one has a really nice practice routine to it. If your're not slow or fast enough, you'll lose the clap back delay and it will be in unison. So....once you start, gotta finish. I gave a quick little thing at the end of the video to show how the delay works.
