Our horse turntable showcases how our creatures and animals are built from the inside out. A skeleton, muscle fibers, fascia, fatty tissue, skin and hair are all combined to create a model that is anatomically plausible. We use our Academy Award®-winning Tissue software to simulate muscle jiggle and to contract each muscle based on the horse's movements. This creates very realistic muscle shapes and skin behaviours on top of the motion created by our animators—in this case a general run cycle. The ultimate goal is to create a believable digital horse that can perform whatever the director requires without the audience questioning whether the horse is real.
