Dawn of the Planet of the Apes required our animators to create an entirely digital ape cast who could deliver complex and emotional storylines. See how we combined our advancements in performance capture technology with keyframe animation to achieve nuanced and convincing character performances.
Our work on Dawn of the Planet of the Apes received three Visual Effects Society Awards, an Annie Award for Outstanding Character Animation, the HPA Award for Outstanding Feature Film VFX, and the Golden AEAF Award for Feature Film VFX.
