Saying Goodbye To My Oldest Friend

A sad week for the Calder Valley. The wonderful Mytholm Works Mill Chimney which has stood since 1871, is to be demolished starting very soon. It is Incredibly sad to see these important pieces of history, which stand so beautifully, being stripped away. I have a great fondness of this perticular chiimney, as not only could I see it from my primary school playground, but it was also the first thing I ever filmed on my Wandering Turnip YouTube. So I am really sad to see it go. If anyone has ever visited Hebden, you will know just how important these are, and I feel that something needs to be done to protect the ones we have remaining. Work is due to begin on the 7th of October, so if you do want to go see it before it gets knocked down, now is your chance.
