In this video, I return to London to revisit the streets I walked in 2023—streets that, at the time, shocked me with how much empty retail space they held. I was curious to see whether the city had begun to recover from such a glaring issue—not in neglected corners, but in the very heart of the capital’s shopping district: Covent Garden, Oxford Street, and beyond. When I first created my Death of the High Street series, I knew that future visits would offer a fascinating chance to see whether meaningful change was possible.
