"Müdür Yima" – A Voice from the Earth
This song is written from the perspective of nature itself a message from the land we live on.
Sung in Old Turkic, one of the world’s oldest written Turkic languages, it gives voice to the Earth as it reflects on its relationship with humanity.
"Yima" is an ancient word for Earth or Sacred Land in Old Turkic, and Müdür Yima can be interpreted as "Great Earth" or "Mother Earth".
This piece is a reminder of what we’re connected to, and what we still have time to protect.
