Correction for the discussion at 20:42 - It's mentioned that the strategy here would work a bit differently in vanilla runs because the queue limit is 1,000 guests. However, Marcel recently discovered that trapping guests in this way ignores the limit since the guests aren't considered to be in the queue line. He had never considered this a possibility and assumed the 1,000 limit would apply, but it doesn't! This run is performed by Marcel Vos, someone I've been a huge fan of on YouTube for years. Marcel Vos not only set a new world record, but absolutely demolished the prior record by over 8 minutes thanks to both implementing a boatload of new strats, and also solid execution. RolllerCoaster Tycoon is a challenging game, but a dedicated community of fans (including Marcel) have become experts in it over the years and come to understand it at a level that frankly astounds me. This run has a ton of neat tricks in it, from cramming all your guests into one tile while distracting them with rides, food, and entertainers, to building a queue that your guests will continue to pile into, never to leave. These strats alongside many other ingenious tricks and tight execution give this speedrun a unique and fresh take on what a speedrun can be. #RollerCoasterTycoon #RollerCoasterTycoon2 #Speedrun
