Welcome one and all to a very silly challenge run of cities skylines 2. The Goal Is Simple reach the rank of city in the game by growing our starting village but we will attempt to do so with our tax rates locked at the highest possible setting of 30%. At this rate our society will struggle massively from a lack of income and profits as well as people not willing to live in a city with high taxation. We will have to use some silly strategies to make this work but hey you are watching the spiffing brit and if there is one thing I like to do its to break games by not playing them the intended way! So can we complete this challenge is it even possible there is only one way to find out!
Cities: Skylines II of course had a very rough launch and struggled to find its feet but now several years of updates and DLC later and an entire dev team switch with iceflake getting switched in by paradox interactive it will be interesting to see how the game has changed and improved. Whilst I do have mixed feelings about the game it is still a competent city builder with a mix of simulation, sandbox and management gameplay that is just hard to find elsewhere.
