This video covers the early history of LEGO. Discover how LEGO began in a tiny Danish town and nearly collapsed—twice—before becoming the world’s largest toy company. This deep dive reveals the untold struggles of founder Ole Kirk Christiansen, from devastating fires to bold business pivots during the Great Depression. You’ll see how a wooden duck, a naming contest, and a risky investment into a revolutionary plastic injection molding machine shaped LEGO’s earliest decades. It all builds up to one groundbreaking moment in 1978 that changed LEGO forever.
