Epic Old Car Adventure Through London - Brighton!

"𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐝, 𝐖𝐞𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭” Cold rain. Early morning light over Hyde Park. 340 century-old engines waking up in the fog. That’s how the 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝑽𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒏 𝑪𝒂𝒓 𝑹𝒖𝒏 began. By the time we reached the coast, the sun broke through. And so did a few smiles. My 1903 Wolseley “Clementine” (6 HP, wood wheels, infinite character) never missed a beat. 6 Horsepower vs. 600. Last weekend I traded 600 horsepower for 6. From carbon fibre to timber, from telemetry to touch. There’s something magical about British events like this: exclusive, yet never pretentious. Tweed jackets, oily hands, real laughter. People who simply love machines and stories. Driving it isn’t relaxing. There’s no suspension to speak of, no power steering, no helmet radio. Just wind, vibration, oil, and that slight smell of adventure. After 60 miles, I could still feel every vibration long into the night. I 💖 it. I spend most of my year chasing milliseconds in Formula and endurance cars, but this was a reminder of where it all started. Of how beautiful simplicity can be when it’s built to last.
