Greetings and welcome to another installment in the Tacky Tablets series! A series in which I test Tablets to see if they're tacky or not. Not much else to it :)
Today I am featuring a Tablet I picked up recently and that's an AIWA kids tablet (yes, that AIWA if you know them) but does the quality from all those years come back for a new product by them...well not really. It's a long story.
This tablet is sold at Big W (and probably some online stores) but you can walk right into Big W and purchase one of these for $169 AUD for your kid if you don't have the money for a fancy iPad.
You get the Tablet with an Octa Core Processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB Storage, 10.1" Screen and Android 13 with an included case and Stylus - that seems like a good budget option right? There's just ONE problem...
This thing is CHEAP. There is no rigidity to it, a slight bend, pressure or anything and this tablet is gone.
If your kids are a bit rough with tech (which is most) then this tablet won't survive.
A lot of reviewers online point out that the screen just dies after a few months and I believe them honestly.
But what about the rest of it? Is it an ok tablet, well depends what you're really expecting out of this but I'll let this almost 1 hour video tell you all you need to know about this tablet and honestly my recommendation - don't get this for your kid. Get a proper brand or a second hand iPad and you'd be much better off than this thing.
Anyways, I hope you'll enjoy this video and let me know your thoughts in the comments!
