Hi:) I often ran into a problem where many assets weren’t prepared for terrain detail, and I had to manually extract single models from LOD Groups, which takes a lot of time with a large number of objects. I had the same problem when I was creating backgrounds for a scene and needed low-poly models of trees because using models with LOD Groups meant Unity constantly had to calculate their distance from the camera and check LOD thresholds, impacting performance. So to simplify and automate this process, I created LOD Extractor, a tool that allows you to extract the desired LOD with a single click, copy colliders, and even merge meshes to optimize your scene.
