hi, here's a video on how to dodge some true combos. well, are they really true combos if they're dodgeable? i guess they're fake true combos then. IMPORTANT NOTE (please read description): Spear Dlight Recovery is ONLY dodgeable if the person hitting the combo doesn't know that you have to move FORWARD during the entirety of the combo. If they hit Dlight Jump Rec without moving forward, it will have 0 dodge frames but you can still dodge down. If they hit Dlight Jump Rec WHILE moving forward the whole time, it will NOT be dodgeable. I see a bunch of comments asking if this is real: yes it is. Here's some extra information / answers to questions you might ask yourself: "i tried in practice room and the bot didn't dodge?" Sometimes the practice room bot doesn't dodge perfectly at the first possible frame. Here's a short video demonstrating that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zG8SWCeCInk "wow this is broken" Well, it's actually a very niche trick, it only works against a few very specific combos. But it's always good to know, would be sad to lose your ranked game at 1999 elo because you got hit by Nai's Dlight Nsig when you still had your dodge :( Also, some extra information for the combos shown in the video: Queen Nai's Spear Dlight Nsig is always escapable if you dodge up. Spear Dlight Nair is always escapable if you dodge away. Spear Dlight Rec is sometimes escapable if you dodge down. (only if the person hitting the combo doesn't move forward during the combo, which is somewhat common so I guess try dodging down anyway if you're 100% sure they'll go for dlight rec) Gauntlets Dlight Rec is only escapable if they hit you with the tip of the Dlight, in which case you can dodge away Axe Slight Sair is kinda weird, it can sometimes be escaped if you dodge up-in but it depends on where the enemy hits the Slight. There's probably a few other combos escapable with this trick but they are kinda rare, if I find new ones I'll add them on a pinned comment.
