This high-temperature furnace is crazy (coolest haul yet)

As mentioned at the beginning of the video, Nigel has been cut off from future auctions, and this is the last machine he was allowed to buy (until he actually makes videos with everything he already has). We're super excited about this high-temperature furnace because once we get it up and running, it will allow us to comfortably melt things above 2000°C, which opens up a whole world of materials like aluminosilicates (sapphire, ruby, aluminum oxynitride, etc.) But before we get there, there is quite a bit of refurbishing to do, and we need to figure out how everything is connected, all of the circuitry, etc. We also need to figure out what that missing box is, which we currently believe is the temperature controller.
