Did we just get Surf Dracula-ed? - Lanterns Review

Lanterns Season 1 has just wrapped up its first eight episode run, and whilst the general consensus is positive and the ratings are good enough that it'll probably get a Season 2, not everyone is on board with its direction. Promising to be an earth based detective mystery that just happens to feature the Green Lanterns John Stewart and Hal Jordan, its lack of extra terrestrial elements (like aliens that look like aliens) seemed to sour a lot of people on the series as a whole. Plus, it also seemed at points like either it was a deliberate story decision or a budget related decision to keep the ring constructs and Green Lantern costumes to a minimum.
