What's Really Going On With Loras Tyrell On Dragonstone?

Loras Tyrell last we hear about him in A Song of Ice and Fire has been badly injured in the siege of Dragonstone and is recovering on the island. Supposedly he has been badly burned by boiling oil as well as taken several wounds. Many fans however suspect that this is a lie to trick Cersei and part of some sort of House Tyrell plot.
