The Tourney At Harrenhal is one of the most compelling and impactful moments in the history of westeros. George RR Martin has wrapped up so much mystery and tragedy in this moment which was the day the smiles died for an entire generation in A Song of Ice and Fire. Everyone was there Benjen and Lyanna Stark, Arthur and Ashara Dayne, Jaime Lannister and Howland Reed and of course Rhaegar Targaryen and The Mad King. The memory of this tournament haunts Ned Stark as he sits in the black cells and Barristan Selmy as he sits atop a pyramid in Meereen. The Tourney went horribly wrong much like the ashford Tourney in season 1 of a knight of the seven kingdoms and it radically altered the course of history in westeros. It was the last free and happy moment for an entire generation in Westeros, it kicked off Robert's Rebellion and lead to the destruction of the Targaryen Dynasty as well as the birth of Jon Snow. Now we will finally get to see it with the Harrenhal stage play and this summer we might finally get answers to what really happened. I couldn't be more excited.
