Marwyn The Mage Can See Things In The Flames (Not Just Glass Candles)

At the end of A Feast For Crows we finally meet Marwyn the Mage and his crew of students at the citadel. We learn that he has a glass candle burning in his room and apparently can look into it and see things all over the world. We also see Lazy Leo Tyrell staring into a candle flame outside Marwyn's chambers but this appears to be a normal candle flame. This tells me that he can see things in the flames which he almost has to have learned from Marwyn. Will this go somewhere? Let me know what you all think.
