Volkswagen Golf Mk1 Engine Swap Part 1

In this video we start the engine swap on my 1982 Volkswagen Mk1. We start the series by showing you how to perform an engine pull, specifically how to do it on VW Mk1 watercooled vehicles. I've written down the steps we took here: 1. Jacking up the car 2. Unbolt the hood 3. Drain the coolant 4. Pull the radiator 5. Disconnect everything remaining in the enginebay 6. Remove the wheels 7. Unbolt driveshafts 8. Disconnect the exhaust 9. Prepare ground for engine pull 10. Loosen the engine mount bolts 11. Attach engine to pulling device 12. Tensioning the straps 13. Remove the engine mount bolts 14.
