This day I’m celebrating my 35th birthday,
and I want to give all of you a big gift.
I’m officially returning to animating Madness cartoons — but not in a way where I’m trying to blend in with today’s crowd.
I’ll be bringing back the same old-school style from 2015–2017, without chasing modern improvisation trends.
Third season is here as a prequel,
revealing more events and backstory from the past.
The project originally started development back in 2011, but unfortunately a most work of it was lost due to poor backup and my failure.
I’ll be publishing some of the remaining older material later on.
The story for this series was originally written by DjGoldwing and I expand it, adjust certain parts, add new events, and refine the narrative so the overall story flows better.
In terms of animation and visual design,
I’ll be creating this series in a nostalgic style — as if it had actually been produced back in 2011:
NO DUB, limited angle sprites, no shells, simple backgrounds (similar to Ryder Revenge Forever), and a soundtrack adapted to match the classic madness style.
More information about upcoming animated cartoons and game development will be announced in a future post.
Thank you, and enjoy this new-old episode.
Used old weapons sprites created by Krinkels
