Does Minecraft's Torch Recipe work IRL?

The Minecraft Torch Recipe is possibly the most well-known crafting recipe in the game, but in real life the ingredients just don't seem to add up. Just Coal and a Stick? And it lights without even a flint and steel? It seems completely impossible -- but as it turns out, minecraft might not be as unrealistic as you might expect... Let me know in the comments which version of this torch was your favorite, and if there are other things you'd like to see tested! Remember to share this video with a friend who you think would enjoy it, and be sure to check out the other videos where I've tested Minecraft Crafting Recipes in Real Life. There's a lot that needs to be cut out in order to make a tightly edited video like this, but if more behind-the-scenes sounds interesting to you, you'd love my patreon!
