Not too long ago, my YouTube friend TheLotanos made a funky little cover of one of Dodie's videos https://youtu.be/ZbK_i02b68o And he kept fangirling about her so much I had to check her out. And OH BOY did I fall in love! I was so excited when her EP came out and this song was the one that hit me the hardest. Not that I have never been in love. I have, quite a few times, and I'm in love with somebody right now. But the feeling that the past seems nicer than present, the lying nostalgia and missing the teenage years because everything seems so heavy and complicated now... That I relate to a lot. Dodie's lyrics are so good... Songwriter goals, honestly.
