This is a demo that was distributed with IRIS Performer libraries. The scene was modeled by Wes Hoffman (Paradigm Simulation) and showed then-advanced features such as tri-linear texture filtering, alpha blending and fog. It was originally meant to be run on hi-end SGI RealityEngine systems. I’ve recorded the video using a much less powerful “low-end” SGI O2 workstation (introduced in 1996). The system was set to a resolution of 1024x768 (in true-color).
