A GRIM DAY | Award-Winning Short Film by KEFIR KLEE

A twisted tale of vengeance, downfall, and a fate worse than death. Ex-detective Marco risks everything - even his own life - to uncover a sinister ring of corrupt cops. What befalls him is a curse far more horrific than imaginable... A GRIM DAY takes inspiration from a number of movies, notably Sin City and The Crow. The filmmaking style was heavily influenced by Quentin Tarantino staples like Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, as well as old German Expressionistic films and Hitchcock thrillers such as Psycho and Strangers on a Train. Shot on SONY FX30 with the Sigma 30mm f1.4 lens, the Sigma 65mm f2 lens, and the Samyang 18mm f2.8 lens. Microphones used were the Comica VM30 wireless shotgun mic, and the Rode Wireless Pro II lavalier mics. The Manfrotto 300XM modular gimbal was used for stabilization. Edited in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, and Blender 5.0.
