Advent Rising -- combining the interstellar conflict and space magic of Mass Effect with the colorful animated look and heart of a Pixar movie. Part Star Wars, part Starship Troopers, the “spirit” of the game has outlived its disappointing release and remains in the hearts of many as one of the underappreciated and overlooked games that deserved another chance.
So what led to this game’s failure? How can some love it despite glaring flaws, or despise it ignoring its compelling theme? And how can we learn from this artifact of history to make for a better future for like games? Let’s find out in this episode of Not Forgotten.
