How to Build Realistic AI Perception and Memory in Unity

Building a clean implementation of the Target Tracks Perception System from Game AI Pro. Instead of giving AI agents perfect information, we create a system where they can only perceive what they see and hear — and more importantly, we give them memory that naturally fades over time using envelopes. You'll see how to implement stims, target tracks, and ADSR-style awareness that lets enemies react realistically, stay alert for a while after losing the player, and eventually forget when they can no longer perceive them.
