My bathroom is definitely the most asked about room from my renovation, and the most asked about item is also my favourite part, and that is the strips of feature tile. These are the terrazzo tiles from TileMountain and I just love the way they make rather insignificant parts of the bathroom pop.
Number two is the waterproof oak panelling I got from Naturewall. Not only does it add an interesting bit of contrast to the tiles, it does a great job of hiding the access panel to my boiler.
Number three are the matching brushed brass elements. I got all my fixtures and fittings for this bathroom from Crosswater, and really love how consistently good looking and high quality all of the pieces are.
Number four is a bit unique and that is, the soundproofing underlay. This is called TileMat and is from a company called Sound Reduction Systems. I have a downstairs neighbour and this means I can sing in the shower without fear of getting an ASBO.
Number five is actually a decision I regret, and that was, not going slightly bigger with my shower tray. I went with an 800mm wide one and could have gotten away with a 900mm wide one, so learn from my mistake and use your measuring tape when planning your own bathroom renovation.
