how much my tiny house Airbnb made in its first year 🏡💸 #personalfinance #renovation #airbnb
Here’s how much my tiny house made in its first year on Airbnb.
To quickly catch you up, five years ago, I bought an abandoned tiny house, renovated it, lived in it for a couple of years, then moved out and put it on Airbnb to help fund a second renovation I took on.
In its first month of being live which was January 2024, it made -£974.64 (-$1,236.77) because it was brand new to Airbnb, only got a couple of bookings and had high heating bills because it was winter.
In February, it bounced back with all of the valentines bookings by making £707.83 / $907.51
In March, it made £471.11 / $604.92
In April, it made £470.88 / $604.70
And in May, it continued this trend in the 400s at £404.72 / $514.42
With June, the summer season began and it made £1,596.69 / $2,029.48
In July, it did well again, making £1,528.86 / $1,943.26
August was the best month all year at £2,224.49 / $2,827.44
In September, it dropped down to £447.31/ $568.55 If you’re looking to visit Scotland, September is my favourite month, weather wise. Probably because I can finally put away the SPF 50,000.
In October, it made a spooky £1,903.84 / $2,394.46
In November, it made £377.58 / $479.92
And in December, things were quiet and the heating bills were high again, so it lost -£144.55 / -$183.73
So, in total, for the first year, it made a profit of £9,014.12 / $11,454.16
If you’d like to see how much it made in its second year on Airbnb, then just follow along because I’ll be revealing that soon.
