5 unique features I love about my 1700s tiny house ๐ก๐ #tinyhouse #homedecor #renovation
I bought and renovated an abandoned tiny house from the 1700s a few years ago, and here are five unique features I love about it.
First is the window seat that my Mum made. Itโs just such a lovely place to sit and have the sun shine on you while looking out to the hill or my neighbourโs garden. Be sure to pack your SPF50 if youโre a big ole ginger like me though.
Second, are the โbeforeโ pictures that I have hanging in the hallway so that as soon as you come in the front door, you can see what this place once was.
Third is the tartan wallpaper that I added in the bedroom from @LucieAnnabelHome-Official (not sponsored!). I felt like the grey wall I had before was a bit bleak and boring, so swapping over to this wallpaper has made it much more interesting.
Fourth is the cobbled parking space out front. The house is on a street called The Cobbles and it used to be a cobbled street, but at one point in history it was tarmacced over. I always thought that was a bit of a shame, so I bought these cobbles and my Dad laid them to reclaim a bit of that original heritage that was once here.
Fifth is the house sign, and name. I got this made by the village potter before they retired. The house used to be just called โthe garage storeโ, so when I bought it, I paid to have it officially renamed to Bowersburn Cottage because that was the name of my granโs house which was my favourite place to go when growing up.
