5 features I love about my 1700s house π‘π #homedecor #interiordesign #cozy
I live in a house that was built in the 1700s, so here are five unique features I love about it.
My favourite feature of this house is the view of the hill which overlooks my village. I feel very lucky that I get to look out and see this every day and I especially love the way the sunset makes the hill glow. Please donβt judge my boring garden, thatβs my next project.
Along similar lines, my next favourite thing about this house is the stream which runs alongside my garden. Because of this, I have constant access to the peaceful sound of running water. Itβs all just one big treat for your eyes and ears.
Number three is finally something inside the house, and thatβs how bright the open plan living room and kitchen is, thanks to the Velux windows that were added during the renovation.
Number four is this miniature gallery wall Iβve made at the end of my hallway containing old photos of my village from the past 100 years. I just like having this little bit of history in my house.
And number five are the nooks and crannies where disused windows and fireplaces once sat, which have now been repurposed into useful areas; bookcases, and storage for my clothes and of course, my cats.
