Watch how I, a danish journalist, was the first to use a sledgehammer on the Berlin-wall - only eight hours before it actually came down, November 9th 1989. Take a trip back in time to 1989. Join me on a personal journey and in celebration of how freedom was won i Europa. From the Baltics in north - to Poland, East Germany, Prague and Romania. We are in Stasi headquarters, KGB cellars in Riga, with the the Red Army in East Berlin and see the politics of change in Karl-Marx-Stadt before the city was renamed Chemnitz, Germany. Already two generations of young people have known only democratic freedom and open borders in Europ. We shall never lose tha freedom again to dictatorship.
